Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to over the last few weeks.

These are acid-etched and hand-painted bare metal enclosures for Devi Ever’s line of custom ‘Twin’ dual pedals, available in her etsy store. Each one is meticulously detailed and designed to withstand heavy stomping, with a satin clear-coat finish to let the natural shine of the aluminum show. After I etch the enclosure and sand it into rough shape, I carefully paint the graphic into the grooves, refining the work until the sharp clarity you see is achieved. I’m an anally retentive perfectionist.

Coupled with Devi Ever’s incredible line of pedals available for housing in these boxes, you’re in boutique pedal heaven. Hand painted, hand wired, and fully customizable by you. Check out the list of circuits to make over 600 possible combinations on Devi’s twin page.

The Skreddy Screwdriver - One of the best overdrives of all time

All he said was ‘paisley’- I filled in the rest. You may recognize some elements from other designs I’ve done; I’m attempting an aesthetic to create a coherency to my enclosures. A sort of acid-etched signature, if you will. This was my first attempt at such a detailed etch, using the tried-and-true Press N’ Peel method. I find this technique to be more successful than laser photo paper by a long shot. I used enamel paint for the detailing on this one as well.
